Artist Lia Schäfer is a graduate of the Willem de Kooning Academy of Arts in Rotterdam, Holland, where she resides. Her portrait work is composed of colorful, transparent layers where the stroke of the brush is visible and spontaneous. Her other work includes landscapes and townscapes.
